Overview
- Responsible for execution of works control as per the project schedule planned including design and built activities that submitted to the client by the Project Manager;
- Coordinates and oversees the sequence of the construction programme with the support of the Site Engineers and Foremen;
- Attends to the QEHS complaints of the clients, client representatives, authorities, agencies, the public and other interested parties, and facilitates the rectification, corrective and preventive actions, as appropriate;
- Responsible for the overall management of the labour force;
- Executes QEHS control as per the client-approved method statements, Project Quality Plan requirements and the In-House EHS Rules & Regulations;
- Assists the Project Manager in the handover of completed building / phase / project to the client;
- Provides inputs on accomplished schedules, manpower, plant, machinery and equipment status to the Project Manager;
- Functions as the Vice Chairman of the Site EHS Committee, and shall attend all WSH Committee Meetings unless otherwise for some unforeseen reasons as excused by the Project Manager;
- Functions as the Acting WSH Committee Chairman in the absence of the Project Manager;
- Ensures WSHO / Supervisor is provided with works, manpower, plant, machinery and equipment schedules for his / her advance planning for QEHS;
- Provides adequate workers, materials, equipment and tools for QEHS works that should be progressive with construction works;
- Ensures workers are issued with effective Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE);
- Responsible for prompt QEHS measures inclusive of rectification works as identified and highlighted by EHS personnel and Site Supervisor in their routine inspection and WSH Committee Meetings;
- Properly trained in QEHS Policy, Objectives, impact/risk assessment, relevant safe work procedure/ operational control procedure, management programme, applicable legal and other requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by PE Board/BCARemark: Recognition by PE board is a plus.
- 5 years civil engineering project management experience A MUST
- Must have experience in Industrial / Commercial / Institutional and/ or non-standard projects.
