You will manage hull and mechanical repairs, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinate with various stakeholders like ship owners and surveyors. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and formulate repair plan basis the RFQ.
  • Prepare repair estimates, inspection reports, and technical assessments.
  • Supervise hull repairs, steel renewal, and structural fabrication works.
  • Oversee mechanical repairs for engines, pumps, valves, and hydraulic systems.
  • Coordinate daily repair work according to docking schedule and project plan.
  • Liaise with ship owners, superintendents, surveyors, and class societies.
  • Allocate manpower, tools, and materials required for repair operations.
  • Ensure all work complies with marine standards and classification requirements.
  • Enforce workplace safety procedures following shipyard and MOM regulations.
  • Conduct toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
  • Monitor progress of repair work and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning and sea trials when required.
  • Prepare daily reports, job completion documentation, and material usage records.
  • Assist in preparing cost summaries, variation orders, and final repair reports.
