Job summary

A leading provider of cooling solutions in Southeast Asia is seeking a technically skilled Service Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of infrastructure within data centers. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance engineering, particularly with ACMV/DX systems. This role involves scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Job description

Our Client is a leading provider of cooling solutions in Southeast Asia. They’re looking for a technically skilled Service Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of infrastructure within data centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of systems.
• Diagnose hardware/software issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Handle equipment power-up/down procedures and respond to emergency service calls.
• Provide technical support and onsite training on Operation & Maintenance Manuals (OMM).
• Maintain strong client relationships, especially with site engineers.
• Ensure all activities align with client procedures and internal quality standards.
• Prepare detailed service reports after each maintenance or emergency visit.
• Submit weekly/monthly work activity updates, progress reports, and corrective action summaries.
• Maintain accurate and organized service documentation and records.
• Supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
• Review site events and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Plan, coordinate, and update daily work schedules effectively.
• Adhere strictly to data center safety rules and quality assurance standards.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with occupational safety regulations.
• Support ad-hoc assignments as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• ITE / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance engineering (experience with ACMV/DX systems preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and technical diagnostic skills.
• Working knowledge of CRAC, WDS, or other critical facility infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to perform standby duties, including weekends and public holidays, based on operational needs.
• Physically fit and comfortable with performing hands-on technical tasks in data center environments.
