Senior Veterinary Nurse cum Trainer – Emergency & Critical Care ("ECC")

No proper emergency centre can operate without an awesome team. You will be working with Critical Care Specialists and Nurses, as well as collaborating with other teams.

The position will involve triaging emergencies and assisting with emergency procedures, anaesthetic monitoring, lab work, day and overnight hospitalisation (intensive) care and training nurses. Full-time hours will include day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a rotational roster. Shifts are mostly 12 hours, allowing more days off per week.

What Do You Have

• At least 5 years of veterinary nursing experience, with animal handling skills
• Certification as a trainer is an added advantage
• Experience leading a team of nurses
• Training and mentoring nurses in clinical skills, patient care and clinic operations
• Assisting the veterinarians with in-patient and outpatient treatments, monitoring and procedures
• Brilliant communication skills, both written and spoken
