Job description

The senior designer is responsible for developing and driving design solutions (process flows, sketches, scenarios, wireframes, navigation models, visual design) for applications, software, and other forms of interfaces. In this role, you will take an active and hands‑on role in supporting the creative, engineering and project/account management teams. You will also work closely with clients and be responsible for conducting user and stakeholder research activities including user interviews, ideation sessions, usability studies and other user research techniques to inform a human‑centered design for the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy
• Ability to understand, gather UX requirements, translate briefs to come up with unique art direction and innovative solutions
• Craft user stories, personas, storyboards and flows from requirements
• Ideate and design information architecture, wireframes, visual design, interaction models, and supporting design documentation
• Participate in brainstorming and workshops with teams and clients
• Work with multiple teams and work streams efficiently
• Create UI designs (Visual Design) for web and mobile applications
• Explore various design approaches to solve specific user problems
• Producing high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Implement the latest design innovations to ensure that the product is in accordance with the cutting‑edge technology.
• Define user task flows and interaction models
• Create a cohesive style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product.
• Conduct user research
• Create user personas
• Conduct customer and competitor analysis
• Optimises UI designs and tests for intuitiveness and user‑centeredness
• Conduct usability testing to identify gaps in design and see if they can be further improved.

Prerequisites

• You have at least 5+ years of experience creating delightful experiences: visual design, user interfaces, large scale websites, or applications with a strong portfolio—hands‑on approach to creative/design and a strong portfolio of work.
• Financial domain experience is a plus.
• Experience in Design Systems.
• Experienced in user research, usability testing, wireframing, and prototyping with various tools and ux methodologies.
• Design Fundamentals and Tools Proficient knowledge in design fundamentals (E.g. Conceptualising, Layout, etc) and design tools (E.g. SketchApp,Figma, Invision, Zeplin, Adobe Photoshop, etc).
• Presentation and Storytelling Strong communication skills, both written and oral and able to articulate and defend design decisions.
• Attention to detail
• Fearlessly creative and meticulous about the quality of craft and attention to detail—self‑motivated and committed to delivering consistently, independently or in a team.
• Excellent presentation skills
• Clear understanding and love for white‑space and all that jazz (design principles)
• Wildly creative, meticulous and addicted to the quality of craft
