Job summary

A leading lift service provider in Singapore is seeking a skilled technician to perform maintenance services for lifts and escalators. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot equipment faults, ensure compliance with safety standards, and communicate effectively with customers. Responsibilities include responding to breakdowns, conducting preventive maintenance, and training junior technicians. This role requires ad-hoc assignments and flexible problem-solving skills to ensure reliable operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance service of lifts and escalators.
  • Apply correct work methods and procedures for safety.
  • Respond to breakdowns and arrange call backs promptly.
  • Release passengers from lift mantraps when needed.
  • Troubleshoot equipment faults and take corrective actions.
  • Ensure work complies with quality and safety standards.
  • Communicate with customers regarding operational queries.
  • Report timely on customer feedback or issues.
  • Ensure Preventive Maintenance Sheet is completed monthly.
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments, including training and assessments.
  • Train and coach technicians in maintenance practices.
Job description

- Perform maintenance service of lifts / escalators in his charge.

- Apply correct work methods and procedures to ensure reliability and safe operations.

- Respond to breakdowns and call-backs according to contract terms including 24-hour standby duty.

- Release of passenger from lift mantrap according to contract terms.

- Troubleshoot equipment faults and carry out preventive and/or corrective actions. Being able to identify root cause in order to fix it first time right and within a limited time. This applies to simple and complex breakdowns.

- Ensure all work processes comply with quality, environmental and safety procedures and requirements.

- Communicate with customers on any operational enquiries and/or feedback.

- Report to superior and team timely on any feedback by customers or issues encountered.

- Ensure Preventive Maintenance Sheet (PMS) is carried out and signed by customer every month.

- Perform ad-hoc assignments such as technical support, training and assessments etc.

- Train and coach white and yellow belt technicians; check that they carry out maintenance
