Job summary

A maritime systems company based in Singapore is seeking a candidate with a GOC certificate and training in JRC equipment. The ideal applicant will have experience in HMI and PCB designing, and troubleshooting of marine navigation and telecommunication systems. Responsibilities include installation, servicing, and reporting on various marine systems. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team. Travel for overseas jobs may be required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a GOC certificate and be trained for JRC equipment.
• Experience in marine navigation systems and telecommunications is required.
• Ability to travel for overseas jobs and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and service Marine navigation systems and telecommunication systems.
• Conduct radio surveys and off-land repairs of equipment.
• Prepare service reports after job completion.

Job description

CANDIDATE MUST BE A GOC CERTIFICATE HOLDER AND TRAINED FOR JRC EQUIPMENT. HE SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN HMI AND PCB DESIGNING AND TROUBLE SHOOTING

Maritime navigation system.

• Radio survey of GMDSS equipment. Installation/troubleshooting/servicing in Marine navigation system such as Marine Radar, Gyro compass, Magnetic compass, autopilot, echo sounder, speed log, steering – FFU/NFU, weather fax, wind speed/direction etc

Marine Telecommunication Systems

• Installation/troubleshooting/servicing in communication systems such as GMDSS, VHF/UHF, MF/HF SSB, NBDP, NDB, Navtex, Inmarsat, FBB, Local Area networks, email system etc.
• Off-landed repair of faulty equipment in the workshop
• Prepare the service reports after completion of jobs

Requirements

• Formal education in Electrical and/or Electronic equipment.
• Should have GOC for carrying out Radio Survey and should have makers training and approval for Marine Communication Equipment.
• Trained in Good communication and writing skills, interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and an aptitude for detail
• Good team player who is able to work with other team members
• Have an analytical and open mind, and be self-driven
