A leading gaming chair manufacturer seeks an experienced Product Development Quality Engineer in Singapore. In this high-impact role, you will own product quality from concept to mass production, working closely with design and manufacturing teams. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 8-12 years of experience, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Bonuses include a passion for the gaming industry and relevant manufacturing knowledge.
Secretlab is an international gaming chair brand seating over a million users worldwide, with our key markets in the United States, Europe and Singapore, where we are headquartered.
You will be a valued member in our award-winning Product team, responsible for creating products for consumers across over 60 countries. This high impact position requires combining a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and quality engineering in a collective effort with our design team and manufacturing partners for the timely and issue-free production of all lines of products.
Our Product team is involved with all Secretlab’s industry-leading designs, including collaborative efforts with world-renowned brands such as Game of Thrones, Batman, Cloud9, Team Secret, as well as international esports organisers such as Riot Games for their League of Legends global tournaments.
Own product-development quality from concept to MP, setting CTQs, driving DFMEA/PFMEA, defining control plans, and establishing a complete validation strategy.
Lead quality gates across EVT/DVT/PVT with clear, evidence-based entry and exit criteria to ensure readiness at every phase.
Provide data-driven quality input into design decisions through structured risk assessments, validation results, materials and durability insights, and reliability learnings.
Strengthen manufacturing quality systems by implementing process controls, mistake-proofing, variation reduction, and fast, structured problem-solving.
Control product and process changes with disciplined risk evaluation, change-impact assessment, updated control plans, and cross-functional alignment.
Qualify and develop suppliers for materials, tooling, and processes through audits, PFMEA reviews, capability studies (GR&R, CPK), and continuous improvement plans.
Execute end-to-end validation testing — reliability, safety, structural, fatigue, environmental, packaging — and deliver complete, traceable DVP&R documentation.
Ensure regulatory and standards compliance (ANSI/BIFMA, IEC/CB, UL, Safety Mark) and maintain documentation aligned with internal and external audit expectations.
Lead field-quality analysis by turning returns, complaints, warranty data, and usage insights into actionable engineering and supplier corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement across the cost-of-quality spectrum by reducing defects at source, eliminating rework/scrap, and raising robustness across product generations.
Develop and coach quality engineers to build strong problem-solving capability, technical judgement, and disciplined execution across prevention, appraisal, and corrective actions.
Influence cross-functional and supplier teams to prioritise quality risks, align mitigation plans, uphold product safety, and support long-term product performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
8–12 years of hands‑on product development quality experience, covering NPI, validation, and supplier/manufacturing quality in consumer electronics, appliances, or furniture.
Strong command of core quality tools including DFMEA/PFMEA, CTQ flowdown, control plans, tolerance stack‑up, SPC, structured RCA, and risk‑based decision frameworks.
Deep technical knowledge of mixed‑material and electro‑mechanical systems, including metals, plastics, PU, coatings, mechanisms, PCBAs, and assembly processes.
Proven track record leading quality through the entire lifecycle: concept, development, tooling, EVT/DVT/PVT, MP, and field‑performance improvement.
Experience driving supplier capability through audits, PFMEA, GR&R, CPK studies, and process‑control implementation.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability, with demonstrated skill in diagnosing failures, interpreting data, and defining corrective and preventive actions.
Clear, concise communicator able to influence engineering, product, manufacturing, and supplier teams with data‑driven recommendations.
Ability to operate proactively and independently, anticipating quality risks early, prioritising issues, and driving alignment across teams.
Commitment to high standards of product safety and reliability, with a mindset rooted in prevention, continuous improvement, and long‑term product robustness.
