Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Regularly check network devices for connectivity and performances to ensure local and regional operations are seamless
• Monitor the health status of all network devices, software tools and software platforms to ensure they are functioning correctly
• Perform regular backup of network configurations and critical data
• Ensure backup processes are reliable and data can be restored efficiently as and when needed
• Implement and document configuration changes to network devices
• Maintain accurate records of all configuration changes
• Regularly review and update firewall rules to ensure network security is at its optimal level
• Collaborate with the security team to address to any vulnerabilities
• Apply best practices to harden network devices against potential cyber threats
• Ensure all devices are configured securely and comply with company policies
• Apply patches and updates to network devices, laptops, software tools and platforms to protect against any vulnerabilities
• Keep track of patch levels and ensure all devices are up to date
• Work closely with co-workers, stakeholders both locally and regionally to ensure their needs are met
• Work and direct vendors to efficiently complete the required work schedules to ensure overall plans are met
• Any other adhoc duties that the company assigns

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years or more in a similar capacity
• Degree holder with the relevant field of study
• Able to speak and communicate fluently in English both written and spoken, able to speak a secondary language to assist the company in local and regional duties will be preferred
• Relevant IT Certificates in Network, Security and Applications will be a bonus
• Individual is required to display that he/she is efficient in the role, with a good sense in communication and working with co-workers independently and able to propose and drive solutions as per the business directions
