Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the global, intelligent network infrastructure to meet the requirements of high availability, scalability, and high-performance. By joining this team, you will gain marketable software development and\u2013or network operation experiences in office networking on a massive scale.

• Design, build, operate and optimize the global network for both office and global POP/IDC including backbone, data center, private and public cloud and edge.
• Leverage global POP/IDCs, Cloud etc. to create a robust, intelligent and highly efficient global network solutions for different kind of workplace, game studio, developers, application etc.
• Work with ISPs and external vendors for device and carrier selection, perform testing, verification and optimisation for high availability
• Work with cross-functional teams to advise on cloud computing, storage, cloud-based system, and drive the innovation and evolution of overall client’s network
• Create and maintain detailed systems documentation for BAU infrastructure project and operations
• Plan, engineer, and monitor the security measures to ensure network security and build dashboard to generates system health and relevant product metrics
• Support network operation, provide network problem resolution and troubleshooting of network incidents
• Configure and maintain network devices and firewalls using international standard, best practices and defined security policies
• Analyse and monitor network performance/status amd drive network automation and DevOps
• Facilitate requirements discussions and translate specifications and analysis in both ENGLISH and MANDARIN with stakeholders in China who communicate solely in MANDARIN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 or more years of work experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience operating in a similar role,
• Proficient (written and spoken) in ENGLISH and CHINESE (Min B3 in GCE "O" Level CHINESE) or equivalent) to facilitate requirements discussions, translate specifications and analysis with MANDARIN\u2011SPEAKING ONLY stakeholders in China.
• Lateral and logical troubleshooting, follow-through and problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven track record of designing, implementing and supporting a worldclass network at a regional/global scale.
• Hands‑on experience and knowledge in the area of modern network infrasturature technologies such as Firewall,route, switch, software and hardware, including WAN/Software-defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN), Data Center networking/Interconnect, applications, virtualization, DevOps, Wireless Networking, etc.
• Hands‑on experience of major network devices, such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Huawei and other mainstream product.
• Hands‑on experience on VOIP Voice solution, e.g. Cisco Voice Gateway, Cisco Unified Call manager etc
• Proficiency with solving networking and firewall problems that flow through load balancers such, firewalls, and networking equipment
• Good understanding of network protocols/technologies including TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS,802.1x and SDWAN, MPLS related technologies.
• Able to understand and operate network monitoring protocols and systems, such as SNMP, Sflow/netflow, Telemetry, DNAC, SolarWind and Ekahau Pro
• Good understanding of Network Security (Firewall, NAC, Zero Trust)
• In-depth knowledge of IPSEC: Site-to-site, Remote, VDI etc.
• Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, JUNOS, and IOS
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, with little supervision
• Detail oriented with excellent communication skills. Good procedural documentation skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Relevant industry professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE or similar equivalents is a big plus
• Well-versed in Cloud Network and indepth physical security knowledge is a plus
