About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to lead regional product sourcing, development, and supplier management for a corporate gifting portfolio across Singapore and Malaysia. This role plays a critical part in shaping the quality, range, and competitiveness of the product offering, including ownership of the Promotional & Premium Catalogue.

You will also work closely with the merchandising team to ensure an effective and visually engaging showroom that supports sales initiatives and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and development of new gifting products, including supplier evaluation, sampling, costing, and negotiations.

• Manage the Promotional & Premium Catalogue, ensuring competitiveness in product range, design, pricing, lead times, and quality.

• Maintain and update backend systems to ensure accurate product availability, pricing, descriptions, and lead times.

• Ensure supplier price lists, production timelines, and cost sheets are kept current and reflected internally.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships across Singapore and Malaysia.

• Oversee showroom organisation and product presentation in collaboration with the merchandising team.

• Coordinate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations on product updates, pricing, catalogues, and visuals.

• Support product lifecycle management, stock planning, and quality control checks.

• Maintain complete and accurate product documentation, specifications, and costing records.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in merchandising or product development; experience in gifting, lifestyle, or retail is advantageous.

• Strong sourcing experience, particularly with China-based suppliers and factories.

• Excellent negotiation, costing, and supplier management skills.

• Strong aesthetic sense with high attention to detail.

• Independent, proactive, and capable of leading merchandising activities with minimal supervision.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.

• Willingness to travel to Malaysia, China, and other sourcing regions as required.
