Job Summary
The jobholder (2-year contract) supports the team lead, PN and HOD, Future Ready to ensure the MM professionals become resilient and future‑ready. The jobholder also performs the Secretariat functions to support the planning, execution and evaluation of events, programmes and internal operations required by the MENDAKI Professionals Networks (PNs) that is assigned to the jobholder.
The jobholder is expected to work from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work on some weekends, weeknights, and public holidays to support organisation events as required.
Key Responsibility Areas
Strategic and Partnership Management
- Work alongside the team to drive the MENDAKI PN strategies by engaging and developing Malay/Muslim professionals to groom the next generation of community and industry leaders.
- Connect with government agencies and key partners such as SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore for updates on the data and trends pertaining to employment and employability.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with assigned PN Team Leads and Core Teams and other stakeholders and partners in implementing key Future Ready initiatives.
- Collaborate with key departments in MENDAKI (such as Communications and Partnerships) to ensure alignment of messaging and workplan targets.
- Support the department in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new partners to drive impactful programmes, explore new initiatives, and secure funding to support the PN efforts.
Secretariat role to MENDAKI Professional Networks (PN)
- Oversee the coordination of resources, manpower, and materials to ensure effective delivery of programmes and manage secretariat support for Professional Networks.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programmes through data collection, participant feedback, and impact assessment.
- Review and recommend improvements to programmes to ensure relevance, quality, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of youth and PMETs.
- Monitor budget outcomes to ensure proper utilisation and accounting of resources.
- Oversee the engagement strategies which include regular communications with PN members via email and LinkedIn.
Programme Management
- Support FR leadership team in the planning and organisation of the PN events at MENDAKI level and providing timely updates about PN works to Management and stakeholders.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the projects and initiatives carried out by the assigned PNs through the collection and analysis of feedback.
- Conduct reviews of programmes and recommend areas of improvement or adaptation, in consultation with PN Leads and Core teams, to suit the needs of the professionals in the relevant sectors.
- Lead other key Future Ready initiatives for Malay/Muslim professionals such as Hari Raya Networking Lunch, #MakingConnections and other network engagement sessions.
Team Leadership and Management
- Set goals and performance standards for direct reports.
- Mentor direct reports and provide feedback to support their personal and professional development.
- Supports team lead and HOD to execute functions, identify manpower needs and track budget utilisation and accounting of processes and resources.
Others
- Any other duties as assigned by the FR leadership team and MENDAKI management as a whole.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration/Project Management or other related degrees.
- 2–3 years of experience in programme/events delivery and management, and stakeholder engagement and management.
- Experience in secretariat and committee roles and volunteer management is useful.
- Good understanding of PMETs, growth sectors, and employment and career landscapes. Interest in education and community issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across different levels.
