Roles & Responsibilities
PURPOSE

Deputize and support the Appointed Actuary (AA) in areas relating to valuation and reporting.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES
  • Lead the EV and IFRS reporting teams and oversee the end-to-end reporting processes, ensuring results, changes and impact are well communicated to stakeholders.
  • Strengthen governance and controls in EV and IFRS reporting. Ensure reporting frameworks implemented are technically sound and in compliance with Group policies.
  • Inspire team members to adopt a change mindset; embed enhancement of reporting processes and improving delivery times and quality as part of the team’s culture.
  • Deliver business value by providing insights arising from actuarial results, as well as highlighting risks in advance to management.
  • Establish good working relationships with and engage Group Office regularly on actuarial topics.
  • Deputize the AA in his / her absence; support the AA in technical reviews, business and strategic discussions whenever necessary.
  • Inspire and develop team members, so as to build a strong team culture as well as a high-performance team.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor Degree in Actuarial Science
  • Qualified actuary with at least 10 years of relevant experience
