Job description

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of team to implement and manage the Whole-of-Government (WOG) Infrastructure and services. You will work within a team of engineers driving AI‑enabled productivity and collaboration across government, building and operating secure, scalable capabilities on Microsoft 365 and related platforms. Your focus will be to design, build, secure, and operate agentic AI solutions—including 1st party and custom Copilot Agents—that integrate with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph, and 3rdparty systems.

You will also collaborate with peers from other disciplines such as cybersecurity engineers, software developers, infrastructure architects, data engineers, UX Designers and Product Managers to design, develop and implement infrastructure products for WOG.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and extend Copilot Agents (first‑party and custom) and solutions using Copilot Studio / Agent Builder, including plugins, actions, knowledge sources, and connectors.
• Integrate agents with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, Word, SharePoint/OneDrive), Microsoft Graph, and approved LLM endpoints; orchestrate workflows with Power Platform where appropriate.
• Embed security‑by‑design aligned to security policies (e.g., identity, least privilege, data protection, sensitivity labels, and DLP).
• Security and Compliance: Implement robust security protocols, data governance policies, and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain system integrity with enterprise infrastructure and workloads.
• Define and enforce standards, playbooks, governance and best practices for agent creation, testing, deployment, and retirement.
• Coordinate with vendor/partner engineering on roadmaps, feature evaluations, and escalations.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Provide ongoing technical support, identifying and resolving issues within Power Platform applications, workflows, and integrations to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and end-users, to gather requirements and deliver efficient, high-quality solutions.
• Monitor and Optimize Solutions: Regularly monitor and optimize Power Platform applications and workflows, ensuring they perform efficiently and are scaled to meet evolving business needs.
• Build self‑service guidance and sample solutions for common use cases.
• Support champions/community of practice, providing technical consultancy for builders and administrators.
• Other duties as may be delegated by the Manager or Team Lead from time to time.

• At least 3 – 6 years of relevant technical experience in a demanding, agile environment. Having prior managerial and leadership responsibilities is an added advantage for more senior roles.
• Experience building and deployment on Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Graph, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams apps/bots, M365 Copilot and Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps).
• Copilot Studio / Agent Builder, custom connectors, and plugin/action development experience.
• Proven record of successfully delivering high-impact, complex projects while managing risks.
• Able to work independently and as a good team player with analytical, management and planning skills.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people at both junior and senior levels
• Pro-active, dynamic and with good analytical/conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Candidates with the following certifications/training will have an added advantage:

1. PL-900 (Power Platform Fundamentals)
2. AI-900 (Azure AI Fundamentals)
3. APL-7008 (Create agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio)
