Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the organisation’s financial management and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role supports organisation-wide strategic planning, financial growth initiatives, and robust financial governance.

Working closely with the CFO, the Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for financial analysis, pricing strategy, scenario planning, and P&L modelling to enable informed business decisions. The role also involves managing and collaborating with a diverse, international finance team in a fast-paced and evolving environment, while maintaining high standards of accountability, adaptability, and excellence.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant finance experience, with strong exposure to senior-level financial management roles.
• Proven experience working in cross-functional, international, and multicultural environments.
• Experience managing finance operations for complex or growing organizations.
• Must be CPA certified
• Strong experience of Singapore and Malaysia statutory filings, taxation, and government grants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management & Planning

• Develop, maintain, and enhance dynamic financial planning and forecasting models.
• Drive monthly and quarterly financial reporting, as well as the annual budgeting process.
• Partner with the CFO to establish and track key financial and performance metrics to ensure strong fiscal control.
• Prepare financial analysis, business cases, and scenario models to support strategic and operational decisions.

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

• Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations, including:
• Day-to-day financial reporting
• Working capital and cash flow management
• Financial controls and risk management
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all audits, statutory filings, and financial reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage grants and contract-related financial reporting, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.

Stakeholder & External Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, creditors, and service providers.
• Support negotiations with financial institutions and third-party service providers where required.

Business & Commercial Finance

• Lead and support costing and pricing strategies, including:
• Business and financial modelling
• SaaS pricing structures
• IP-based pricing models
• Manage and structure internal and inter-company pricing arrangements.
• Support subsidiary setup, financial governance, and ongoing financial management.

Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor a finance team of up to 4 members.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture across functions and geographies.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with SOX-related controls, record keeping, and reporting.
• Experience managing private limited companies and overseas subsidiaries.
• Knowledge of:
• Currency risk and protection mechanisms
• Employee equity structures such as ESOPs
• Intercompany accounting and transfer pricing concepts
• Proficiency with accounting and financial management software.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
