Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional to handle closing activities, prepare financial statements, and analyze financial data. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with SAP. Job description
Job Scope:
  • Perform closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Reconcile key accounts such as bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, costing reports, and group consolidations.
  • Analyze financial and cost data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Work with non-finance teams to communicate financial performance and cost-saving measures.
  • Provide guidance on financial and cost-related matters to improve profitability.
  • Maintain cost records, track variances, and assess manufacturing expenses.
  • Conduct inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels.
  • Develop budget templates and consolidate data from various departments.
  • Prepare budgets for fixed assets, leases, and material usage aligned with production plans.
  • Prepare quarterly GST returns and corporate tax schedules.
  • Address tax-related inquiries and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with statutory and internal audits by preparing audit schedules and reports.
  • Manage deferred tax schedules and complete ACRA XBRL filings.
  • Maintain financial records and update process documentation as needed.
  • Support digitalization initiatives and work with IT to streamline accounting processes.
  • Manage additional tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting or a related professional qualification.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Basic knowledge of GST and corporate tax.
  • Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
