Roles & Responsibilities
  • Reporting Officer
    • You will report to the General Manager for all matters relevant to this role.
  • Duties
    • Financial Management
      • Manage and maintain full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Fixed Assets
      • Register.
      • Provide accounting assistance to programmes and support staff, respond to financial questions/concerns to meet organisational needs.
      • Perform month‑end and year‑end close, ensure accuracy of management accounts and financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and compliance to internal policies.
      • Prepare and submit ad hoc financial reports as required on a timely basis.
      • Support annual budget exercise.
      • Support midyear review exercise.
    • Internal / Special / Statutory Audit
      • Assist with audit exercises as required.
      • Manage audits including schedule preparation and liaising with external auditor.
    • Internal Controls and Compliance
      • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and processes for the accounting function and exercise enforcement as appropriate.
      • Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
      • Review and recommend improvements in accounting systems and procedures.
    • Grant Management
      • Support the General Manager in managing grants from various funders, including reporting timelines, requirements and coordination with programme teams.
      • Collate needs from families overseen by Tasek for possible sponsorship or donation opportunities.
      • Assist with disbursement and tracking of sponsored items to youth and families.
    • Office Administration
      • Support office administration work, when required.
Job Requirements
  • ACCA / CA / Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of financial accounting experience in charity accounting.
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting software such as Xero.
  • Good writing skills for case management and comfortable with data collation for reporting purposes.
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Open to working irregular hours to cater to needs of programme teams.
