Job description

Summary

• Support the team on fabric Innovation, fabric development & fabric price negotiation
• Deliver the fabric developments, setting high standards, achieving best quality and consistency, and offering technical support to our suppliers at development stage

What you'll do

• Support Sourcing, Innovation and Development of all Fabrics for the Category
• Work closely with the Category for Price improvement projects and maintain price library for the category
• Responsible for Fabric Risk Assessment and Fabric Technical Approval at Sampling Stage
• Create and Maintain Fabric Library
• Maintain internal record of Development, Sampling and Colour Approvals.
• Manage adherence to product safety legislation and work with relevant teams to ensure compliance, chemical issues are resolved in line with legislation & policy when necessary.
• Follow the business calendar timeline to assure the samples are on track
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and other fabric technologist to drive innovation and conceptual ideas

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s Degree holder of Technical Education in Textile Science or equivalent with at least 8 years of practical experience in a Buying office.
• With practical experience of fabric, print and colour development, including production of Fabric
• With practical experience of applying proven techniques of quality assurance within the textile industry.
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Travel overseas for exhibitions is required
