The Opportunity:

We are looking for Enrolled & Staff Nurses to join us for various disciplines to provide high quality patient care.

Job Responsibilities:
Enrolled Nurse
  • Support Registered Nurses (RNs) in the coordination of care of patients
  • Assist physicians and RNs in bedside procedures and treatment
  • Communicate effectively and maintain collaborative relationship with the multidisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Provide patient education to patients, Next of Kin (NOK) and caregivers on self-care management
  • Attend to and assist RNs in patient resuscitation or medical emergencies
  • Support clinical supervision of new enrolled nurses, support care staff and coaching of nursing students in the delivery of nursing care
  • Identify common causes of patient safety incidents and work with the supervisor and senior nurses in carrying out quality improvement activities
  • Be a team player and participate in clinical audits as required
Staff Nurse
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients in the appropriate discipline under the direction of the Nurse Clinician in the individual units
  • Provide high quality patient care in various disciplines by performing clinical procedures that will meet the patients’ immediate physical and emotional needs
  • Provide clinical support to the Respiratory services through counseling of Asthma, COPD patients and their families with regard to the diagnosis, treatment and expected outcomes
  • Empower and educate patients towards self-care for Respiratory conditions through patient education and tools.
  • To provide advice and assistance to Asthma / COPD patients via telephone follow up to assess their progress and address any related issues
  • Prime dialyser and bloodlines
  • Records patient’s medical information and vital signs
  • Oversees the dialysis treatment from start to finish
  • Administer prescribed medications and blood products during and after dialysis
  • Cannulates dialysis access
  • Ensure staff practices in relation to hospital infection control protocols and to correct any non‑conforming practices by reinforcing good clinical practices while on daily ward rounds.
  • Work alongside the clinicians and assist with clinical procedures that will meet critically ill patients’ health needs and care demands.
  • Collaborate and discuss with the multidisciplinary team on the desired health outcomes that can be achieved for critically ill patients.
  • Provide and observe the safe management of advanced forms of respiratory support, invasive monitoring and drug infusions.
  • Work alongside the surgeons providing instruments, needles, swabs and other materials as required, and being able to anticipate their needs.
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery by procuring appropriate equipment, supplies, consumables and infusions required for the procedure.
  • Check all equipment prior to surgery to confirm smooth and proper functioning.
  • Handle and operate equipment to be used on patients competently.
  • Ensure safety of surgical instruments, equipment and consumables used during the procedure.
  • Triage each patient and determine priority of care based on assessment of physical, psychological and social needs.
  • Perform focused patient assessment of chief complaint, medical history and medications to ascertain history and medical condition in a timely manner and according to established triage guidelines.
  • Assist with CPR and other emergency treatment and stabilise patients’ condition in collaboration with the physician
Job Requirements:
Enrolled Nurse
  • Candidate must be enrolled with SNB
  • NITEC in Nursing or State Enrolled Nurse Certificate
  • At least 1 year of experience as Enrolled Nurse in relevant discipline
Staff Nurse
  • Diploma in Nursing or State Registered Nurse Certificate
  • Relevant Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent is preferred for candidate applying for the Senior Staff Nurse position
  • At least 1 year of experience as Staff Nurse.
  • Candidate must be registered with SNB
