Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced individual contributor to take on a hands-on role in electrical systems design and testing. The candidate will collaborate closely with the R&D team, handling responsibilities like creating technical specifications, planning maintenance schedules, and preparing user training documentation. A BSEE degree or equivalent and strong experience in manufacturing environments are essential. The successful candidate may receive the title of Assistant Engineer, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• BSEE graduate or diploma with strong electrical fundamentals.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in design-for-manufacturing.
• Experience in concurrent engineering process is a plus.

Job description

REQUIREMENTS

• BSEE graduate from a recognized university. A diploma with strong electrical and electronics fundamentals can also be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in design-for-manufacturing in a manufacturing environment;
• Experience in the concurrent engineering process is an advantage;
• At least 2 years experience in test jig design for subsystems – an example will be test jig design for UGV electronic drives or sensor subsystems;
• At least 2 years of experience working in MIL Std wire harnessing environment;
• Some working experience in embedded C programming.
• Electrical systems design and integration with a view of cable management or wire harnessing for large format platform systems for high voltage or high current mobility;
• Understand schematic and troubleshoot PCB circuit
• Some working experience with robotics and AGV operations.

ROLE

• This position is an individual contributor role that must be proficient in both hands-on and system testing and able to work independently.
• Work closely with the R&D team (System Integration, Software and Mechanical Engineers);
• Review or create customer’s technical specifications from customer or project narrative, if needed;
• Planning schedule for periodic maintenance and spare parts management.
• Attend and write User training documents; and upkeep maintenance log and record.
• Conduct field work in troubleshooting, failure analysis, field advisory role for site maintenance crew will be required from time to time;
• Depending on the years of experience the successful candidate that is finally selected, the candidate will be given the title of Assistant Engineer.
