We are seeking an experienced Construction leader to direct the delivery of major data centre projects across APAC In this role, you will oversee a diverse portfolio of mission-critical developments. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards of safety, quality, budget discipline, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a regional program of data centre projects across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, approved budgets, schedules, and scope.
- Build, lead, and integrate a multidisciplinary owner’s team—including Project Management, Engineering, Commissioning, and Commercial/Cost/Scheduling specialists—at both the regional and local levels.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional departments such as HSE, ESG, Procurement, Finance, Investment, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and competitive advantage across all projects and teams.
- Champion value engineering, constructability assessments, and technical reviews to optimise outcomes.
- Anticipate risks, establish mitigation strategies, and safeguard smooth execution across the project lifecycle.
- Lead governance forums, including weekly country-level project reviews and monthly regional program reviews, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly.
- Provide clear, timely, and structured reporting through weekly and monthly dashboards and updates.
- Support compliance with Group governance requirements across all projects.
- Contribute to the professional development and training of regional and local Design & Construction teams.
- Represent the organisation with professionalism, integrity, and transparency at all times.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- At least 20 years of experience in project/construction management
- Extensive experience in large-scale data centre and mission-critical (24/7) environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline; Master’s degree or higher strongly preferred.
- Strong track record of managing data centre programs across the Asia-Pacific region.
- Ability to lead teams delivering multiple concurrent projects, with direct engagement at executive/ c-suite and project levels.
- Proven track record of managing project portfolios with high annual capital expenditure
- Expertise across the full project lifecycle, from design and feasibility through to close-out and defects liability period.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
