Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Leader to oversee Service Logistics (SL) and Lead Logistics Partner (LLP) activities across the APAC region. This role encompasses controlling, financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, accounts receivable, investment, tax and fiscal matters, as well as risk management, all in alignment with group policies and local business practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key senior member of the SL APAC Management team and drive positive business impact within the Finance function, acting as a business partner to the SL Senior Management Team (SMT). Provide financial support to the SVP SL LLP and assist in strategic business growth through financial decision support and business risk assessment.
  • Assume full responsibility for all financial information within SL APAC, including P&L, balance sheets, and tax obligations.
  • Lead, direct, and manage the organization’s financial resources to ensure both short-term and long-term financial health for the region. Develop long-term financial planning for SL at the regional and country levels.
  • Approve all SL and LLP investments at the APAC regional level.
  • Deliver comprehensive controlling services and support across all business areas, ensuring effective financial service delivery, including process improvements and the implementation of financial changes.
  • Provide guidance and consulting on financial matters to senior business leaders, collaborating with specialist colleagues to identify key issues and address complex Commercial Controlling matters, such as structuring opportunities, transfer pricing adjustments, taxes, and foreign exchange considerations.
  • Establish a commercial balance between risk and financial return for new business ventures and renewals.
  • Drive financial and commercial strategies that support the growth of SL and LLP APAC, ensuring alignment with financial hurdles and investment criteria.
  • Establish, drive, and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) at both global and regional levels to ensure the SL team meets its objectives.
Customer and Supplier Engagement
  • Provide financial expertise during business negotiations with customers and suppliers, addressing complex commercial issues such as billing arrangements and payment terms.
Auditor Responsibilities
  • Lead the SL team to ensure compliance with accurate and timely reporting. Continuously improve financial processes, systems, tools, and techniques.
Team Structure
  • Ensure the team delivers the highest standards of functional, cross-functional, and cross-business teamwork and customer service in a respectful manner.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a financial management role, including at least 3 years leading a Commercial Excellence/Pricing agenda and/or in a global role.
  • Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders as part of country or sub-regional senior management.
  • Strong commercial experience is essential.
  • Previous experience as a Finance Director, Controller, or in a commercial capacity for a country entity or global role.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and success in financial transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in an international role and a matrix environment is required.
  • Qualification in financial management and accounting, with an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
