Overview

Experienced Senior Project Director to support ESR Data Centres in the development and execution of data centres throughout the APAC region.

ESR data centres are conducting due diligence reviews, developing capacity plans, executing detailed design and building at multiple locations. We are looking for a Senior Project Director to evaluate available capacity, guide and review local consultant design teams and work with our development partners to deliver high quality and cost-effective solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Design And Development, Data Centres, the Data Centre Senior Project Director will provide project management, technical information and support for all ESR data centre projects. The role requires experience in developing large, critical facilities for hyperscale customers in multiple geographies.

• Lead development of modular and containerised delivery solutions.
• Work with Customers and partners to develop Basis Of Design standards into project specific designs.
• Work with local teams, partners, contractors and consultants to deliver operational data centres.
• Evaluate the available capacity and design concept as part of Due Diligence evaluation of potential sites.
• Input to the development of budgetary construction costs.
• Develop consultant work scope and evaluate proposals.
• Manage and review consultants work.
• Monitor and manage performance of contractors and consultants.

The Senior Project Director will need to work closely with the ESR Data Centre team and with multiple country investment and construction teams.

Requirements

• Degree in relevant engineering subject
• Experience developing and delivering modular data centres
• Experience in the design and construction of critical environments
• Knowledge of major equipment and systems commonly employed in data centres
• Familiar with safety in design and construction safety requirements
• Be knowledgeable in data centre design, operation and fit out
• Understanding of data centre design and operation with ability to assess failover modes
• Experience and knowledge of construction and commissioning.
• Ability to work with construction team to resolve site problems
• Able to prioritize and work on multiple projects
• Able to self manage and organize workload
• Able to communicate clearly in English, including attending meetings and presenting proposals
• Able to travel internationally
