We are seeking an experienced Senior Control Engineer (PLC/SCADA) to join our team at Acute Automation Pte. Ltd. in the North Region. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technology. Your expertise will play a crucial part in the development and optimisation of our industrial automation solutions.

What you’ll be doing

Design, develop, and program PLC and SCADA systems to control and monitor industrial processes

Integrate PLC and SCADA systems with other automation components, such as sensors, actuators, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs)

Troubleshoot and maintain existing control systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and field technicians, to deliver seamless automation solutions

Provide technical support and training to end-users on the operation and maintenance of control systems

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in industrial automation and control technologies

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in PLC and SCADA programming and implementation

Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, and Structured Text

Hands‑on experience with leading PLC and SCADA software platforms (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Wonderware)

Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DeviceNet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP)

Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
