Job Summary

The Senior Cloud Migration Specialist will be the core technicalleader in enterprise-level cloud migration scenarios, responsible for designingand implementing end-to-end migration solutions covering on-premises to cloud,multi-cloud interconnection, and hybrid cloud integration. With a core focus onVMware infrastructure, AWS cloud services, and Huawei Cloud Stack (HCS), youwill lead the entire migration lifecycle—from pre-migration assessment,solution design, and plan development to execution, testing, and post-migrationoptimization—ensuring seamless integration, security, and efficiency ofmigration processes. This role requires deep technical expertise in VMwaretechnologies (especially NSX), AWS services, Huawei HCS, and enterprise ITsystems, as well as strong project management and client communication skills.You will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and cloud servicepartners to minimize business disruption and maximize the value of cloudadoption in diverse migration scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• 1.Lead pre-migration assessment in diverse cloud migration scenarios(on-premises to VMware hybrid cloud, on-premises to AWS, on-premises to HuaweiHCS, etc.), conduct in-depth analysis of source system environments (includingVMware infrastructure, physical servers, and legacy systems), evaluatecompatibility with target cloud platforms, identify migration risks (such asdata consistency, service interruption, and compatibility issues), and proposetargeted mitigation strategies.
• 2.Design scenario-specific optimal migration architectures centered onVMware technologies (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF), AWS services, and Huawei HCS(Huawei Cloud Stack), including network interconnection design, securitycompliance configuration, high-availability deployment, disaster recoverystrategy, and data migration paths tailored to different migration scenarios(lift-and-shift, rehosting, refactoring).
• 3.Develop detailed migration execution plans for various scenarios,covering VMware infrastructure integration, AWS/Huawei HCS resourceprovisioning, data migration tool selection (compatible with multi-cloudplatforms), incremental data synchronization strategies, service cutoverprocedures, and rollback mechanisms to ensure zero business interruption duringmigration.
• 4.Execute end-to-end cloud migration projects across multipleplatforms, including deploying and configuring VMware components (vSphere,vSAN, NSX, VCF), setting up AWS and Huawei HCS target environments,implementing cross-platform data migration, migrating servers, storage, andapplications, and verifying system functionality, data consistency, andperformance indicators post-migration.
• 5.Implement and optimize NSX-based network virtualization for hybridcloud migration scenarios, including logical switching/routing, distributedfirewalls, security policies, and establishing stable hybrid connectivitybetween on-premises environments and AWS/Huawei HCS platforms.
• 6.Perform scenario-specific performance testing and optimization formigrated VMware, AWS, and Huawei HCS environments, identifying performancebottlenecks in post-migration systems and providing targeted recommendations toenhance system reliability, response speed, and cost-efficiency.
• 7.Coordinate with client teams, internal technical resources, and cloudservice partners to ensure effective communication, timely issue resolution,and adherence to project timelines.
• 8.Provide technical guidance and support to clients during and aftermigration, including documentation and post-migration assurance services.
• 9.Stay updated with the latest VMware, AWS, HCS and cloud migrationbest practices, and apply them to improve migration processes and servicequality.

Requirements & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 1.Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end cloud migrationprojects, with a proven track record in migration scenarios involving VMwareinfrastructure (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF), AWS cloud, and Huawei Cloud Stack(HCS).
• 2. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 3.Expertise in VMware NSX (NSX-T/NSX-V) for network virtualization,including logical network design, distributed firewall configuration, securitypolicy implementation, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• 4.Proficiency in VMware vSphere, vSAN, and VCF (VMware CloudFoundation) for infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management.
• 5.Demonstrated experience with AWS Direct Connect for establishingsecure hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises VMware environments andAWS cloud services; proficiency in core Huawei HCS components (such as HuaweiElastic Cloud Server ECS, Object Storage Service OBS, Virtual Private CloudVPC) and hands-on experience in HCS environment deployment, configuration, andmigration execution.
• 6.Familiarity with common operating systems (Linux, Windows) and basicshell scripting for automation.
• 7.Understanding of database architectures (Oracle, MySQL, RDS, MongoDB,Redis) and common database operation commands relevant to migration scenarios.
• 8.Proficient in cloud networking concepts across multi-cloud platforms,including VPN, VPC, security groups, ACLs, and Huawei HCS network services(such as Cloud Connect, NAT Gateway); with the ability to design and implementsecure hybrid cloud connectivity for cross-platform migration scenarios.
• 9.Familiarity with Python and Bash scripting, withthe ability to develop and execute regular scripts for migration processautomation, such as batch operation of cloud resources, data synchronizationmonitoring, and post-migration system inspection.

• 3.AWS SAA or SAP (Solutions Architect Professional) certification.
• 4.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
