Job description

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend components that power large-scale, enterprise-grade platform solutions.
• Take end-toA ownership of backend design tasks and work closely with frontend engineers, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment across the system.
• Set a strong engineering example by delivering clean, maintainable, and reusable code that adheres to best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs, and integrate backend services with external systems, third-party tools, and databases.
• Write unit tests and contribute to automated testing efforts to uphold high code quality and system reliability.
• Engage actively in technical discussions and provide input during code reviews, system design sessions, and architecture evaluations.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues, optimize backend processes, and eliminate performance bottlenecks.
• Work within Agile or Kanban frameworks and collaborate seamlessly with the rest of the engineering team.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in backend development, with deep expertise in C# and .NET Core (preferably version 8).
• Strong foundation in ASP.NET for building complex, enterprise-level web solutions.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and common software design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of relational database systems and proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, or similar tools is highly preferred.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and modern agile engineering practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with microservices architectures and message-driven systems.
• Exposure to NoSQL or document-oriented databases.
• Knowledge of gRPC or messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
