A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you will drive regional sustainability efforts, serving as the key contact for strategic topics and business compliance. Additionally, you will also support our executive functions through performance tracking, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Supports the regional leadership team in anchoring Sustainability topics into existing strategies and processes in close collaboration with expert topic owners within corporate functions (e.g. EQS, HR, SCM) and Business Units
• Monitors and assesses business-relevant sustainability trends and evaluates business opportunities
• Supports sales teams for customer engagement (e.g. in know-how exchange, workshops) and tender requests (with information and material)
• Act as the first point of contact for strategic sustainability topics, internal and external requests on region specific topics, including but not limited to customer/supplier questionnaires, sustainability reporting and ratings.
• Provide comprehensive support to the Executive function, including but not limited to: monitoring and updating of AP Hub Performance Drivers, preparing key discussion topics for monthly Jour Fixe meetings with Board members, drafting briefing materials for executive engagements with external senior leaders, coordinating event planning involving senior leadership and Executives, and supporting regional agenda planning for Board member visits.
• Ensure successful implementation of sustainability related laws and regulations. Monitor and assess business-relevant sustainability trends and evaluates business opportunities
• Leverages sustainability topics for positioning, communication and employee engagement in collaboration with CM, HR and other units
• Roll-out and implement global sustainability programs and initiatives in the region.

What You Bring

• Ideally 5+ years of experience working in the Energy industry
• Has a background in environmental studies / climate change policy / sustainable energy applications
• Good understanding of climate policies and familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative Driver - Demonstrated ability to collaborate internally and obtain the required information from different stakeholders.
• The role reports into the Government Affairs team
