The upcoming Eastern General Hospital (EGH) seeks to provide excellent healthcare and promote healing that is centred around each person. We are seeking a dynamic individual to prepare the financials, including the preparation of management accounts, financial reports, budgeting/forecasting information and other schedules on a monthly and annual basis. In this role, you will perform the day-to-day financial operations including processing of purchases and claims, as well as to assist in the review and planning of day-to-day financial operations workflows. Your scope will include identifying areas that can be streamlined, financial analysis and monitoring of funds to support decision making.

Additionally, you will prepare and monitor claims to government agencies and ensure that there is adequate liquidity to meet financial obligations as well as participate in User Acceptance Testing and provide secretariat support for the department.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting or equivalent with m inimum 4 years working experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong team player with excellent planning, highly motivated and target-focused
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and a growing organisation
