Job Purpose

This role offers an opportunity to join DBS’ Group Tax team and build a comprehensive tax career in the banking and financial services industry. You will be responsible for Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance matters and will support senior tax specialists navigate increasingly complex global tax regulations, new product innovations and evolving business operations.

We seek a highly driven individual who can quickly grasp business concepts, effectively manage large volumes of data to meet tax compliance obligations and generate insightful analysis to support decision making. As part of a high‑functioning and strategic Finance function, you will have the opportunity to develop financial services expertise and learn directly from senior tax specialists.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist with Singapore CIT compliance matters.
  • Manage data for preparation of internal/external tax reports, perform analytics, extract key insights for decision making or recommendations in connection to the bank’s tax matters.
  • Assist with operationalising tax compliance and controls as set out under the Group Tax Policy and Standards.
Job Duties & Reponsibilities
  • Responsible for Singapore CIT compliance and related processes. This would include the preparation of monthly tax provisions, CIT returns, withholding tax returns and other internal tax reporting/process.
  • Prepare and deliver tax analysis to Business and Support units across the Bank on key business transactions.
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure data, especially for new products, is captured correctly at source and routed properly to the relevant reporting systems for tax filing and analysis.
  • Contribute towards tax performance management measurements through working effectively with internal stakeholders supported by data analytics.
  • Other ad‑hoc tax projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel skills, such as the use of advanced formulas, data analytics tools, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, experience in tax or finance/treasury within the banking industry, is an advantage.
  • Highly motivated, adaptable and a fast learner with a strong eagerness to deepen knowledge of taxation, banking operations, finance and other related bank processes.
  • Proficient in handling large volumes of financial data with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity in analytics software is an advantage.
  • Strong research, analytical and lateral‑thinking abilities to evaluate tax impact/implications for business.
  • Effective communicator with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, solution‑oriented mindset with a willingness to embrace new challenges and approach problem‑solving with an open and proactive attitude.
