Job description

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling visual marketing assets and pitch decks, tailor presentations for non-technical and executive audiences, and lead pitch meetings with faculty
  • Plan and run outreach events (industry breakfasts, roundtables, investor & partner briefings) and follow up to convert interest into tangible next steps
  • Coordinate with legal/RASS/NTUitive for contract intake and hand-off
  • Track and monitor industry project milestones, deliverables and timelines; maintain clear records and dashboards (CRM/portfolio tracker)
  • Prepare regular impact reports and executive summaries (I&E metrics: IP, licenses, translational grants, spinouts) and produce attractive one-page summaries, innovation booklets and social media briefs with Corporate Comms
  • Translate technical progress into audience-appropriate storylines for industry, funders and senior leadership
  • Prepare and manage budgets for outreach and pilot projects; support purchasing and expense reconciliation
  • Prepare materials and evidence for audits and routine checks; take meeting minutes and maintain action‑item follow ups
  • Maintain stakeholder contact lists, meeting schedules and coordinate with internal partners (RASS, NTUitive, Corporate Comms)
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in one or more of: industry engagement, business development, technology transfer/innovation support, corporate communications, product marketing, visual design or agency/consultancy roles
  • Demonstrable track record producing external-facing collateral and delivering presentations or pitches to senior audiences (executives, funders, partners)
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, tracking milestones and coordinating across cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Experience working with academic, corporate or government partners is an advantage
  • Good working knowledge of one or more of the following domains: industry engagement/business development, technology transfer/IP basics, product or service marketing, or design‑driven storytelling
  • Basic familiarity with life‑science/biotech terminology and research lifecycle (able to read and summarise technical inputs for non‑technical audiences). Technical depth can be developed on the job through OIE/faculty mentorship
  • Understanding of project management concepts, budgeting processes and compliance/audit documentation
  • Awareness of professional branding and communications best practice (audience segmentation, value propositioning, slide/deck structure)
