Job Purpose
Responsible in rendering assistance to the Finance Manager on various accounting matters.
Job Details
The job holder should be responsible for the following:
- Inventory Control – NIAS
- Enter PO Receipt & Invoice Entries in Accpac - for goods received, warranty and service jobs (LS)
- Make provision for freight & local handling charges for incoming shipments (LS)

- Book-in through PO Receipt Entry
- Indicate GRN & supplier invoice number on forwarders' invoices for AP Invoice Entry
- Adjust the difference between provision and actual freight & local handling charges at month end
- Obtain Import Tax Permits from forwarders for incoming shipments (LS & CT)
- Input GRN & supplier invoice numbers and date of bank deduction on permits for AP Invoice Entry
- Review & post AP Invoice Entries
- Enter AP Payment Entry for Singapore Customs
- Inventory Adjustments and Transfers (LS & CT)
- Generate monthly Inventory Valuation Reports (LS & CT)
- Prepare monthly goods in transit (LS)
- Update inter‑company purchases (LS)
- Prepare quarterly provision for excess and obsolete stock (LS)
- Responsible for bi‑annual physical stock count and stock reconciliation (NIAS)
- Prepare AP Payment Entries for payroll and CPF (LS)
- Review/verify batch payment - for suppliers and staff reimbursement (NIAS & NIAA)
- Accrue inland transportation charges for outgoing shipments (NIAS‑LS)
- Import NIAA's database to NIAS's
- Export NIAA's TB
- Prepare allocation spreadsheet
- Prepare Quarterly GST F5 returns. Enter AP Payment & AR Receipt Entries for GST (NIAS)
- Prepare listing for staff monthly medical & dental reimbursement (NIAS)
- Handling of petty cash float. Enter AP Payment Entry (NIAS)
- Day‑to‑day accounting functions
- Provide internal and external audit support
- Adhere to local and international trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices (reference LEROY SOMER Trade Compliance Procedure)
- Fulfil any other reasonable duties as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education and Qualification: Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in accounting field
Experience in keeping partial sets of accounts
Language & level: Excellent English level required
