Qualifications

  2. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Redefining what it means to do Accounting, Bookkeeping, Tax and Payroll thanks to our proprietary SleekBooks ledger, AI tools and exceptional customer service
  3. FinTech payments: Overcoming a key challenge for Entrepreneurs by offering digital banking services to new businesses

Requirements

We are looking for someone that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes over the next 6‑12 months.

Mission

To drive daily financial operations and ensure the company's regional cash flow and tax filings are managed flawlessly and on time.

Outcomes
  • 1. Treasury/cash management
    • Prepare a consolidated monthly cash position report across all four entity bank accounts (SG, HK, AU, UK) and ensure the maintenance of minimum required operating balances
    • Execute and review 100% of all bank reconciliations for all operating and savings accounts, ensuring all reconciling items are cleared within 3 business days
    • Strictly enforce cash disbursement controls (e.g., bank signatory matrix, payment limits) and process all approved payments accurately
    • Track and monitor foreign currency cash balances and execute FX spot trades for intercompany funding or vendor payments as directed by the Financial Controller/CFO
  • 2. Regulatory & tax compliance
    • Prepare, review, and coordinate the submission of all Corporate Tax returns
    • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly indirect tax returns (GST in SG/AU, VAT in UK), ensuring accurate calculation of input/output tax
    • Manage tax provisioning in the General Ledger (current and deferred tax) and act as the primary liaison for all tax authority inquiries (IRAS, HKIRD, ATO, HMRC)
    • Ensure local financial statements for each entity comply with their respective local accounting standards (e.g., SFRS(I)s in SG, IFRS in HK/AU/UK), including proper documentation for any local adjustments
  • 3. Payroll management & compliance
    • Oversee the end‑to‑end monthly payroll process (in‑house or outsourced), ensuring accurate calculation of gross‑to‑net pay, including base salary, bonuses, commissions, and allowable deductions
    • Ensure timely and accurate remittance of all required employee and employer contributions to local authorities (e.g., CPF in SG, MPF in HK, Superannuation in AU, NI in UK)
    • Coordinate and ensure timely submission of all required employee tax documentation and annual returns to the respective tax bodies (e.g., IRAS in SG, HKIRD in HK, ATO in AU, HMRC in UK)
  • 4. Audit management
    • Develop and maintain a consolidated, multi‑jurisdictional audit timeline with the Big 4 firm, clearly outlining fieldwork dates, key milestones, and review meetings for each entity
    • Ensure 100% of all requested audit schedules and supporting documentation (Prepared‑by‑Client or PBC lists) are provided to the auditor by the agreed‑upon deadlines
    • Act as the central point of contact for all audit queries, ensuring that 80% of all financial and accounting queries are addressed and resolved internally within 48 hours of receipt
    • Review and reconcile the draft audited financial statements for all entities against the internal General Ledger to prevent any unexpected adjustments
    • Oversee the finalization and approval of the audited financial statements and management letters for all entities
Key Qualifications
  1. CPA or CFA or equivalent qualification
  2. At least 5 years experience in a Finance‑related role
  3. At least 3 years experience in an in‑house Finance role
  4. Experience managing an Audit (need not be an ex‑Auditor though)
  5. Experience managing accounting for entities across multiple jurisdictions (including intercompany agreements)
  6. Excellent spoken and written English

About the Interview Process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. It might seem like a lot – but fear not – we come prepared! We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish depending on your availability.

Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role.

  • Case Study / Technical Round – A ~90 minute live Case Study Presentation with Chief of Staff / Incumbent CFO
