Minerva Bunkering, one of the world’s largest physical bunker suppliers, sourcing over 43 million metric tons of fuel annually, is looking for new professionals to join its growing team. The company is a leading independent bunker supplier covering 150 ports worldwide. The company states that it is at the forefront of the industry’s digitalization and energy transition evolution and serves its more than 750 customers with efficient, transparent, and environmentally responsible marine fuel solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an established and transferable network of Chinese bunker customers (shipping companies, vessel operators, etc.), foster existing relationships and actively pursue new bunker enquiries
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms for marine fuel supply and implement optimal procurement strategies to maintain competitive pricing and service in the China bunker market
  • Oversee daily trading operations, including negotiations, logistics, and contract execution.
  • Stay abreast of evolving trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory changes in the global and regional bunker markets, offering valuable insights and strategic approaches tailored to the China bunker market landscape
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly within the China bunker market
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers, clients, and logistics providers, to optimize bunker trading operations and enhance supply chain efficiency in the China bunker market
Qualifications/Profile
  • Work experience in the commodities company
  • Track record of being able to independently build up customer database and penetrate a market
  • Possess a highly profitable, transferable and robust portfolio of customers and suppliers in the China bunker market
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Mandarin-speaking clients and partners, ensuring clear and effective communication
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and achieving profitable trading outcomes, with strong knowledge of the global bunker market, fuel specifications, environmental regulations and pricing mechanisms.
