Job summary

A construction and engineering firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced accountant to handle financial reporting, billing, payroll, and budgeting. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance, along with 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the same industry. Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel, as well as understanding Singapore's accounting laws, is essential. This role requires meticulous and organized individuals capable of meeting tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of progressive billing, retention, and project costing is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
  • Preparation of business activity reports and financial forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
  • Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax returns. Quately GST
  • Responsible for preparing employment contracts and all other documentation work as assigned by the director.
  • Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses.
  • Preparing BS, PL, TB and Cash flow.
  • Monitor month-end reports, schedules, payments and receipts.
  • Maintain, update and monitor inventory records.
  • Create and monitor an effective internal & External audit.
  • Responsible for file company employee income records to IRAS.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the director and HQ.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or engineering industry
