Oversees Singapore Finance and Accounts function for 2 business entities of the company – Container Shipping & Logistics BU in Singapore
Prepares & Analyzes Monthly Management Reports, Annual Budget, co-ordinates with Auditor / Tax Agent / Corporate Secretarial, support the daily activities of finance team in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- To oversee Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate submission of all financial reports to Regional Finance Team
- To prepare Annual Budget for Shipping Agency & Logistics BU
- Analyze and formulate revenue improvement plan together with Finance Manager & Country Manager
- Continuously evaluates group’s financial closing processes. Develops systems & procedures for improvements.
- To perform monthly closing & prepare the Schedules / Trial Balance / P&L & Balance Sheet for both Agency & Subsidiary (logistic BU).
- To monitor cash flow forecast and perform fund transfer to HQ accordingly to schedule and guidelines.
- Liaise with Internal and External Auditor in regards of annual auditing matters.
- Liaise with Tax Agent in regards of annual tax filings
- Liaise with Corporate Secretarial in regards of corporate filings and returns are lodged with the ACRA as prescribed by the Companies Act.
- Preparation and submission of quarterly GST reports for Shipping Agency & Logistics BU.
- To support any ad-hoc matters assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or Finance, or an equivalent professional accountancy certification is preferred
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in the accounting/audit field, with at least 2 years of management experience or supervision role
- Experience in cloud-based Finance solutions such as SAP, Oracle or Cargo wise
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholders across various levels
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good decision-making, and analytical skills
