Job description

As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Secondary School offerings. We are currently seeking dynamic and passionate English Teachers who are available to join us during 2025 - 2026 (August 2025, January and April 2026) academic year. We also welcome expressions of interest from candidates looking ahead to August 2026 and beyond.

The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced English Teachers to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for teaching English across primary and/or secondary levels, developing students’ literacy, critical thinking, and communication skills, while inspiring a lifelong love of reading and writing.

This role demands a passion for English, strong classroom management, and the ability to deliver creative, engaging lessons in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective English curriculum and lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging English lessons that promote reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.
  • Differentiate instruction to support students of varying abilities, including English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.
  • Foster critical and creative thinking through literature, drama, and writing activities.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leaders on student development.
  • Contribute to extracurricular and cultural activities, such as debate, drama, or creative writing clubs.
  • Stay updated on new teaching methodologies and educational technologies.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Literature, or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PGDE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma, or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum for primary and/or secondary programmes.
  • Experience supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
  • Demonstrated classroom management, instructional planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to school life beyond the classroom, including trips, clubs, and performances.
