Position: Secondary Biology Teacher

Division: Secondary School

Report to: Secondary School Principal and Vice Principal

Responsibilities
  • Instruction: Develop and implement biology lesson plans, deliver engaging lectures, and use various teaching methods to explain concepts clearly.
  • Laboratory work: Plan and conduct hands‑on experiments, ensuring student safety and proper technique.
  • Assessment: Evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing regular feedback.
  • Record‑keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and overall progress.
  • Collaboration: Work with other teachers to ensure curriculum consistency and participate in school activities and meetings.
  • Communication: Interact with students, parents, and school administration to discuss student performance and progress.
  • Classroom management: Foster a stimulating and safe learning environment, while upholding school policies and student conduct rules.
Qualification and Experience
  • A good degree in Biology or a related discipline.
  • A recognized teaching qualification or certification.
  • Previous experience teaching Biology is often required.
  • Training and experience in the International Baccalaureate MYP, or DP preferred
