Position Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on professional to support a Smart Manufacturing initiative focused on Media and Buffer Preparation. This role plays a critical part in enabling the transition from legacy systems to a new MES platform, ensuring production‑relevant information is accurately migrated and effectively adopted on the shopfloor.

The successful candidate will act as a process owner, representing the production team throughout the digitalisation journey, and bridging the gap between manufacturing operations and digital systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Smart Manufacturing / MES implementation for media and buffer preparation processes.
  • Work closely with SAP and MES teams to facilitate migration of relevant production data into the MES platform.
  • Spend substantial time on the shopfloor to understand end‑to‑end media and buffer manufacturing workflows.
  • Ensure migrated MES content (recipes, parameters, workflows, instructions) is accurate, practical, and fit‑for‑purpose for production use.
  • Act as the production process owner, representing manufacturing interests during system design, build, and deployment.
  • Support digitalisation initiatives, including conversion of existing hardcopy checklists into e‑checklists.
  • Engage with production operators and stakeholders to support user adoption and change management.
Required Qualifications
  • 5 to 8 years background in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing, ideally with exposure to media and buffer preparation.
  • Practical understanding of shopfloor operations and production workflows.
  • Experience working with or alongside SAP and/or MES systems (hands‑on experience is an advantage).
  • Digitally savvy, with an interest in manufacturing digitalisation and smart factory initiatives.
  • Comfortable acting as a liaison between production, IT, and automation teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate operational needs into system requirements.
Why join us?
  • Generous Leave Policy.
  • Comprehensive Health & Wellness Coverage: Receive robust medical and dental coverage to support your health needs.
  • Professional Development Opportunities: Access continuous learning programs and resources for career growth within the company.
