Your day at NTT DATA

The BTP / CPI Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) cloud-native applications and extensions to SAP solutions and Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) solutions within the organisation. This role requires deep technical expertise in SAP CAP development, integration architecture, and project leadership, ensuring seamless connectivity and process automation between SAP and non‑SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture and delivery of SAP BTP and CPI projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
• Design and develop applications using SAP BTP Extension Suite services (Cloud Foundry, Kyma, CAP, Fiori / UI5).
• Build side‑by‑side extensions for SuccessFactors and S / 4HANA
• Design, develop, and maintain robust integration scenarios using SAP CPI, including both cloud‑to‑cloud and cloud‑to‑on‑premise connections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate integration needs, and define technical specifications.
• Provide thought leadership and best practice guidance on SAP BTP services, including API Management, Workflow, and Extension Suite.
• Oversee configuration, troubleshooting, and optimisation of CPI integration flows for performance, reliability, and security.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation, coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards in all integration solutions.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering knowledge sharing and skills development in SAP cloud technologies.
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities to improve integration architecture and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP integration, with at least 2 years as a technical lead or architect in SAP BTP and CPI projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services, SAP CPI, and related cloud integration technologies.
• Proficiency in integration protocols (SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, etc.) and security standards (OAuth, SAML, SSL / TLS).
• Experience with API management, workflow automation, and extension development on SAP BTP.
• Hands‑on expertise in SAP UI5 / Fiori / ReactJS app development.
• Experience with CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) in or Java.
• Strong experience of Cloud Foundry / Kyma runtimes.
• Experience with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), Git, CI / CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proven leadership abilities and project management experience.
• Certification in SAP BTP, CPI, or related SAP cloud technologies is highly desirable.
