Job summary

A prominent recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Salesman Supervisor/Leader to lead business development and maintain customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in plastics sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and a degree. Responsibilities include developing new business opportunities and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires travel to support customers in neighboring regions and potential future expansions.

  • Ability to independently handle tasks and make decisions.

  • Location: Promenade
  • Working hours: 9am - 5.20pm
  • Salary: up to $6,000 (Depending on experiences)
Job Description
  1. Job ratio is 50% for making new business and 50% for maintaining the current business
  2. Marketing and taking action aggressive and spontaneously to create new business
  3. Maintaining current customers to handle daily task efficiently
  4. To control the trading material stock inventory
  5. Attend to customer enquiry and provide sales services to customer
  6. Prepare quotation and liaison with customer on pricing matter
  7. Follow up with customer on payment issue
  8. Sourcing for suitable supplier for purchase of trading material
  9. Evaluate of supplier performance to ensure purchased products met the customer requirement
  10. Check P/O from customer and to supplier for trade term, payment term, price and lead time
  11. Follow up with customer on any arise including customer complaint
  12. Take proactive actions to ensure customer satisfaction
Job Requirements
  1. Min 5-8 years of Sales and business development experience in both commodity (PP, PS, PE) and engineering plastics (ABS, SAN, ASA, PC/ABS, POM, PBT, etc.)
  2. Have good knowledge of Plastic Distribution business model, good Technical knowledge and connection with business partners in Plastic industry
  3. Degree qualification
  4. Good and aggressive personality with excellent analytical skills, willingness to learn
  5. Good interpersonal and communication skills
  6. Has expertise in a specific field and is able to independently perform tasks that arise within the team while making own decisions
  7. Able to grasp complex problems and make mature decisions
  8. Able to exchange views with other departments
  9. Able to lead field-level teams and demonstrate expertise in multiple areas
  10. Possess a willingness to plan and make suggestions to the team
  11. This position is required to travel to Batam and JB to support existing customers at first, then travel to developing countries due to business expansion in the future
