Our client is a multinational corporation specialising in economic research and market intelligence. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to support their expansion across Southeast Asia. You will be responsible for acquiring new customers—initially focusing on Thailand and Vietnam, with potential expansion to other Southeast Asian markets and India. You will play a key role in executing the company's sales strategy and driving sustainable business growth.

This position reports to the Head of Japan Desk.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products and value proposition to identify relevant prospects across various industries such as machinery, chemicals, automotive, and semiconductors.
  • Provide solutions to customers in corporate strategy, corporate development, and marketing planning who require market insights and business diagnosis.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to prospects, arrange and lead product demo sessions (online or in person), and manage the full sales cycle using a customer‑centric approach.
  • Achieve revenue targets in alignment with market strategy and company goals.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating initiative, responsibility, and ownership of tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Support, Data and Content Teams, and Sales Operations to address challenges in securing new monthly recurring revenue (MRR).
  • Share customer insights to support continuous product improvement.
  • Meet sales targets assigned to the respective grade.
