Role Overview

Aterra Design Studio is seeking a Full-Time Sales Interior Designer to manage high-end residential and commercial interior projects from client engagement through design delivery and project completion.

This role combines hands-on design expertise with commercial acumen, focusing on building long‑term client relationships while delivering luxury, bespoke interiors that reflect Aterra’s philosophy of understated elegance, material refinement, and timeless design.

The designer will be responsible for end‑to‑end project ownership, including client acquisition, design development, project execution, and post‑project follow‑up.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Lead consultations with new and existing clients to understand lifestyle, brand, and business objectives, spatial requirements, and budget.
  • Present Aterra Design Studio’s portfolio and design approach to convert enquiries into confirmed projects.
  • Manage ongoing client relationships, providing guidance and updates throughout project execution.
  • Identify opportunities for additional projects or referrals within existing client portfolios.
Site Assessment & Design Strategy
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate spatial conditions, architectural constraints, and design opportunities.
  • Develop luxury‑focused spatial strategies that balance functionality, flow, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Advise clients on design feasibility, project scope, and materials selection.
Design Development & Project Coordination
  • Create design concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, and material proposals aligned with Aterra’s luxury design standards.
  • Prepare detailed design intent drawings, CAD plans, specifications, and renovation scopes for construction.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure execution meets design intent and quality standards.
Project Management & Site Oversight
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and budgets, ensuring smooth delivery from concept to handover.
  • Conduct site inspections to maintain quality control and adherence to design specifications.
  • Resolve on‑site issues in coordination with contractors and internal teams.
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop bespoke interior design solutions for high‑end residential and commercial projects.
  • Produce high‑quality 2D and 3D drawings using industry‑standard software.
  • Maintain quality, budget, and schedule oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and post‑project follow‑up for long‑term engagement.

Remuneration
