Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Technical Sales Engineer (Laser Micromachining) to spearhead the growth of our laser micromachining solutions. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving sales strategies to ensure the success of our company in key markets, including semiconductor, electronics, and precision manufacturing industries.

Job Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and target potential customers in industries such as semiconductors, electronics, and micro-manufacturing.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring long-term partnerships.
  • Technical Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance on laser micromachining solutions, and recommend suitable products and services.
  • Market Research: Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of market demands.
  • Proposal and Quotation Management: Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing the deal.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met and to develop custom solutions.
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
Job Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the laser, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing industries.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of laser micromachining, automation systems, and Industry 4.0 applications.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of successful negotiations and closing sales deals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer challenges and provide tailored solutions.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CNC systems, vision systems, or automation in laser applications.
  • Knowledge of laser technologies such as UV lasers, fiber lasers, and CO2 lasers.
  • Existing network of contacts within the semiconductor, electronics, and manufacturing sectors in Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
