Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas or related industries as Safety Coordinator.
• Ability to carry out risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans.
• Willingness to work in the Jurong area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and organize regular in-house Safety training.
• Ensure adherence to WSH regulations at worksites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and rectify unsafe practices.
• Develop and implement Safety Action Plans.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

• Good knowledge on WSH Act and Other regulatory requirements
• Daily Safety toolbox meeting, prepare & maintain equipment, safety records etc.
• Conduct regular site inspections and rectify any unsafe practices and conditions at the worksite
• Conduct and organize regular in–house Safety training
• Ensure all site activities adhere to legal regulations and including WSH regulations
• Work with SIC manager to monitor compliance & Identify Safety issues
• Carry out effective Safety supervision to prevent re-work
• Able to carry out investigate incident, accident, dangerous occurrence or non-compliance that occurred at the worksite
• Identify, conduct & prepare risk assessment, method statement, JHA etc. in accordance worksite activities requirement
• Able to develop and implement Safety Action Plan/Program in line with Company/Client WSH/HSE manual/program
• Establish good working relation with Client/Owner Safety personnel of their concerns and programs to be implemented
• Identify, Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
• Able to exercise reasonably, practicable analytical judgement and work independently
• Able to carry other tasks or ad-hoc assignment as where required or assigned
• Proficient to work with computer using MS office suite competently

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Higher Secondary Level with a Pass in English, Math and Science or Qualification
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and or related industries work as Safety
• WSQ - Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) or Equivalent (Safety Coordinator Training Course)
• WSQ - Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant or Equivalent (OPSIC)
• WSQ - Manage Work at Height (Supervisor)
• WSQ - Supervise Work in Confined Space (Supervisor)
• BizSafe Level 2: Risk Management
• Good Oral & written communication skills
• Good initiative & analytical skills
• Proactive and highly motivated individual
• Possess a Class 2 (Motorbike) or 3 License (If have)
• Willing to work in Jurong Area
