Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking an experienced safety officer to manage site safety and health responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in HDB building construction and must possess an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health. Fluency in Chinese is essential to communicate with workers. The role includes conducting safety briefings, inspections, and assisting in accident investigations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of working experience in HDB building construction.
• Able to communicate in Chinese for handling queries from Chinese-speaking workers.
• Independent with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety briefings and inspections.
• Perform safety inspections and implement safety control programmes.
• Assist in investigation and reporting of site accidents.
• Ensure compliance with MOM safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily site safety briefing, inspection, and compilation of all relevant reports & records
• Perform construction site safety inspections. Coordinate and implement all workplace safety and health control programmes
• Perform full range of workplace safety & health responsibilities
• Assist in investigation of all site accidents and prepare accident reporting & investigations
• Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with MOM safety requirements and that all workers comply with safety regulations
• Covid-19 safety matters

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in HDB building construction
• Required Skill(s): safety
• Able to communicate in Chinese language (in order to handle queries and concerns from Chinese-speaking workers regarding building construction matters)
• Candidate must possess Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health
• Independent with good communication skills
