Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to supervise construction works for a Water Pipeline project. The successful candidate will carry out tasks such as ensuring compliance with design specifications, monitoring contractor performance, and maintaining records. A minimum diploma in Civil Engineering and relevant experience in pipe laying and rehabilitation is required. Resident Technical Officer

We would like to hire a Resident Technical Officer to join our Water team working on a Water Pipeline project. Jacobs's role is Client's Representative doing the construction supervision work.

Main duties
  • Supervise the execution of the construction works including temporary works for pipe laying, pipe jacking works and construction of chambers.
  • Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor the Contractor’s progress and performance and maintain proper site records of the works.
  • Take photos of the worksite and update The Client with proper labels through email / WhatsApp on a daily basis.
  • Keep and maintain proper site records and documentation, e.g. attendance records of PM, RTO, STO, Professional Engineers and contractor’s site personnel.
  • Keep records of diary, record books, schedule of works, records of inspection/checklists and approvals for concreting, test records, test certificates.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Relevant experience in pipe laying and pipe rehabilitation works and be available to work 5.5 days in a week.
