Job description
Responsibilities
  • Supervision & Compliance: Provide full-time construction supervision of M&E works as mandated by BCA regulations, ensuring adherence to approved design documentation, Singapore standards, and industry best practices. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of all M&E systems. Ensure all works, especially in live plant, comply with strict safety protocols to protect existing operations and personnel.
  • Project Management & Coordination: Manage and supervise major M&E construction works, including complex services laying (medical gas, HVAC, plumbing) and specialized lighting/control systems installation. Monitor project progress and schedules, providing regular updates and detailed reports to management on status, risks, and quality performance.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Conduct rigorous and regular inspections to enforce quality control, ensuring all works and materials meet project specifications and functional requirements for healthcare and cleanroom applications. Implement and enforce site safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment, particularly crucial in occupied buildings and sensitive operational areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Essential: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience supervising M&E installations for local Hospital, Healthcare, or Institutional developments. Highly Valued: Proven hands-on experience with Additions & Alterations (A&A) projects in live plant/operational facilities and a strong understanding of cleanroom construction protocols and M&E requirements.
  • Knowledge: Must be thoroughly familiar with local codes and regulations (e.g., SS, CP, HC Guidelines).
  • Work Schedule: Must be willing to work rotating shifts to provide necessary supervision across different work periods.
  • Skills: Exceptional coordination and problem-solving skills for managing complex interfaces in a live environment. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with technical teams, contractors, and client representatives. Meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.
