Job summary

A construction engineering firm in Singapore seeks a qualified Resident Technical Officer (RTO) to supervise civil and structural works. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of engineering experience and must be accredited by the relevant authorities. Responsibilities include site inspections, supervising installations, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

Qualifications

• The RTO shall be accredited by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and/or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
• Minimum of five (5) years engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings.
• Provide relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities.
• Supervise all civil and structural works.
• Ensure contractor obtained necessary permits and clearance.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure contractor implements corrective actions.
• Review and assess all formwork structures.
• Supervise safety, environmental, and health matters.
• Supervise installation of instrumentation.
• Supervise sanitary and plumbing installations.
• Assess monitoring of instrumentation and interpret results.
• Review Contractor's design and supervise all works.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings


• To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities


• Supervise all civil and structural works, both permanent and temporary


• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work


• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures to protect surrounding structures


• To review, evaluate and assess all formwork structures, formwork support systems etc


• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters


• To supervise the installation of instrumentation


• To supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, pump drainage works etc


• To review, evaluate and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of the results and provide analytical results/presentations


• To review the Contractor's design and supervise all works

Job Requirement

• The RTO shall be accredited by the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) and/or Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).


• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent.


• The RTO shall have minimum of Five (5) years engineering experience
