Job summary

A leading architectural firm in Singapore is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to oversee site supervision for an ongoing restoration project. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in construction, good knowledge of conservation techniques, and must be accredited by the JAC. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with contract drawings, safety regulations, and conducting regular site checks. The position requires effective communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office and BIM. Contract duration is between 28 to 30 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of site experience in supervision of various types of developments.
• Good knowledge of conservation trade and restoration techniques.
• Accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC).
• Understanding of local regulations and codes for building projects.
• Good team player with effective communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Knowledge of BIM and VDC capabilities is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review and check that all works comply with contract drawings.
• Report to Resident Architect and Engineer regularly on progress.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
• Implement site supervision quality and safety assurance system.
• Interpret drawings and resolve site and technical issues.
• Monitor contractor compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare defects snagging list and ensure rectification of defects.
