Job Description

We seek a passionate Research Engineer to work on the development of novel electronic devices for applications in nano-electronics and quantum sensing.

  • Assist in the design, fabrication, and measurements of electronic, optical, and quantum devices using novel materials.
  • Optimize and document fabrication recipes and material processing capabilities within the research group.
  • Assist in the setup of cryogenic equipment for electrical, optical, and magneto-transport measurements, optimize and document measurement protocols.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and capability upgrade.
  • Perform and automate electrical and optical measurements and assist in data analysis.
  • Assist in filing technology disclosures and technical documentation.
  • Assist in manuscript preparation for publication.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in materials science, applied physics/chemistry, or related fields with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with gloveboxes and cleanrooms.
  • Experience with 2D material processing and stacking.
  • Experience with nanofabrication equipment such as atomic layer deposition, thermal evaporation, thermal scanning nanolithography, electron beam lithography, etc.
  • Experience with nanomaterial characterization techniques such as optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, etc.
  • Experience in low-temperature measurements, charge transport analysis.
  • Experience with dilution refrigerator operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic programming languages, such as Python.
  • Strong team player.
  • Resourceful in problem-solving.
  • Meticulous and analytical in experimental work.
  • Good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
